School Owls was launched in early 2022 with around 1000 sheets. In race to make everything digital and global, benefit of traditional teaching methods are forgotten and young generation is paying the price. Poor eyesight, lack of concentration and declining ability in doing basic mental math a matter of concern about young school age kids. As per the American Heart Association, Children are spending way too much time in front of screens, and it’s urging parents to drastically cut the hours their kids are allowed to use their phones, computers, tablets, and video games. Excessive screen time is considered as one of the crucial risk factors that can potentially hamper the early developmental processes in children. Physical, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive developments occur very rapidly in young children and excessive screen time affects adversely.
It may affect their sleep, attention span and reduced human interaction can result in delayed language and emotional development. Children and teens who spend too much time in front of a screen may seem sad, overly tired, stressed, or fearful, isolated from friends or family, withdrawn, nervous, agitated or tense, aggressive or angry or lonely. Studies show that printable worksheets are better compared to app-based learning in multiple ways. After realizing how parents and teachers needed something beyond digital math and reading on screen, team School Owls dedicated themselves to provide solution. Our mission is to provide quality math’s worksheets for all ages, targeting to minimize the screen time for kids.
